Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu visited Gaziantep City Hospital as part of his program in the city. He was welcomed by Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Ilgın Türkçüoğlu and engaged in discussions with doctors and hospital staff.
After the visit, Memişoğlu stated to the press that Gaziantep is one of the most important cities in the region. He emphasized that the city hospitals, which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan describes as his "dream," are significant physical masterpieces contributing to Turkey's advancement in healthcare.
Memişoğlu remarked, "Our large city hospitals will not only provide services but will also serve as areas for producing science and technology, allowing our doctors and scientists to contribute to both healthcare and innovative discourse."
He also recalled the opening of 75-bed emergency hospitals in Oğuzeli and Nurdağı, underscoring the commitment and dedication of healthcare services provided. Memişoğlu expressed hope for all health workers to deliver exemplary services to the community.
He stated, "We will strive to make Turkey the world's leading country in providing healthcare services and producing health knowledge and technology. Together, we will work harder and achieve more."
During the visit, Governor Kemal Çeber, Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin, MHP Gaziantep MP Sermet Atay, and AK Party Gaziantep MP Mesut Bozatlı were also present.
